Nationality or Citizenship:

A candidate must be either

(a) An Indian citizen or

(b) A subject of Nepal, or

(e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated or intention of permanently settling in India

Educational Qualification:

  1. For Technical Graduate Course: Should have completed engineering course from any recognized institute or university.
  2. For Soldier Technical: 10+2 or Intermediate Examination pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Math’s and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each Subject.
  3. For Junior Commissioned Officer: Graduate in any discipline or 10+2 for remastering candidate.

 

Indian Army Age Limits:

  1. For Soldier General Duty, one should have 17 years and 6 months of age
  2. For Soldier General Duty, one should have 21 years of age

 

Procedure for selection of Indian Army Selection Process 2018

 

Here the candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the following rounds which is as follows:

 

Step 1- Screening:

  1. Pre-Height Check by Height Bar.
  2. Checking of Barcoded Admit Card printed by the candidates.
  3. Physical Fitness Tests (PFT). 1.6 Km Run, Beam (Chin up), 9 Feet Ditch & Zig Zag Balance.
  4. Physical Measurement Tests (PMT). Height, Weight & Chest measurement
  5. Documentation Check and Interview by Screening Director.
  6. Medical Examination.
  7. Interview by Host Director and issue of admit card for CEE.

 

Step 2: Common Entrance Examination (CEE) that includes negative Marking. Also, this will be applied in the CEE exams for all the categories.

Age Limit

  1. The Minimum Age of the candidate should be 18 years and Maximum Age shall be 36 Years.
  2. There is an Age Relaxation upto 5 years for SC candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test and on Skill/ Proficiency/Physical Test

(1) Selection shall be on the basis of performance in Written Test of two hours duration and Skill/ Proficiency/ Physical Test (SPPT) which will be of qualifying nature with no marks to be assigned.

(2) Candidates securing the relaxed minimum of 30% marks in the written test may qualify for Skill/ Proficiency/ Physical Test (SPPT).

(3) Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in the written test does not confer any right or claim by the candidate for being shortlisted for SPPT or the final selection, as the same is related to number of positions, ratio applied and relative performance in respective categories.

(4) Shortlisted candidate, in the ratio of 1:2 (two candidates for one post, with due cognizance to number of reserved posts) subject to securing the relaxed minimum qualifying marks in the written test, will be required to undergo Skill/ Proficiency/ Physical Test (SPPT) to be conducted by separate committees duly constituted for each post.

(5) In case of tie of marks in the written test for the last position on the Shortlist for SPPT, all such candidates shall be called for the SPPT, even if the total number exceeds the prescribed ratio. If such a situation arises anywhere before the last position while drawing a list, the last name/last few names, in proportion to the prescribed ratio, will get eliminated.

(6) Category-wise merit list shall be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test only, consisting of names of only such candidates who have qualified the SPPT.

(7) In case of tie of marks for the last position on the Merit List, the candidate with prior date of birth (senior by age) shall find a place in the Merit list. However the name of the junior shall also be retained in the said Merit List, as the last name. If such a situation arises anywhere before the last position which drawing a list, the last name/last few names in the list, in proportion to the prescribed ratio, will get eliminated.

(8) The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificate/ testimonials, experience etc. At any stage of the selection process, if it is found that the candidate has furnished, false or incorrect information, the candidature/appointment of the candidate will be cancelled.

(9) Filling up of vacancies is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for an appointment if some of these vacancies are not filled due to unsuitability of available candidates of insufficient in a number of candidates.

(10) The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection and cancellation of the selection process either in part or full etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

BRBNMPL (Assistant Manager, Safety Officer, Welfare Officer) Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  1. Assistant Manager – Accounts Background Post

A. External Candidates

  • Candidates should have passed the Final Examination of Chartered Accountant Course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and completed the period of articled training as prescribed by ICAI or should have passed the Final Examination conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
  • For Desirable Candidates who have worked in Finance & Accounts Department in a reputed organisation for more than one year and also have Operational skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, exposure to any ERP system, and Business Intelligence Software of Finance and Accounts will be preferred.

B. Internal Candidates

  • Candidates should have passed the Final Examination of Chartered Accountant Course conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and completed the period of articled training as prescribed by ICAI or should have passed the Final Examination conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
  1. Assistant Manager (Civil)

A. External Candidates

  • Candidate should have completed B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate from a Government recognised University / Institute. Candidates who have passed postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering from a Government recognised University / Institute after passing B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate will be given preference.
  • For Desirable Candidates must have completed Administering construction projects in all its various aspects and knowledge of PERT / CPM techniques. Also, must possess the working knowledge of computers with particular reference to analysis and evaluation of tenders / CAD/ CAM and structural designing and Working knowledge of maintenance of electrical and electromechanical services.

B. Internal Candidates

  • For Staff Candidates only a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate in B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering from a Government recognised University / Institute.
  1. Safety Officer

         Applying for Mysuru Press

  • A person shall not be eligible for appointment as a Safety Officer unless he possesses a recognised degree in any branch of engineering or technology and has had practical experience of working in a factory in a Supervisory capacity for a period of not less than 2 years, or a recognised degree in physics or chemistry and has had practical experience of working in a factory in a supervisory capacity for a period of not less than 5 years, or a recognised diploma in any branch of engineering or technology and has had practical experience of working in a factory in a supervisory capacity for a period not less than 5 years;
  • Also, candidate must possess a degree or diploma in industrial safety recognised by the State Government in this behalf; and
  • Candidate should have adequate knowledge of the language spoken by the majority of the workers in the region in which the factory where he is to be appointed is situated (Kannada).

         Applying for Salboni Press

  • A person shall not be eligible for appointment as a Safety Officer unless he possesses a degree of a recognised University or its equivalent in any branch ,or engineering or technology with two years’ experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either the production or the maintenance or the safety department, or a degree from a recognised University in Physics and Chemistry with five years’ experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either the production or the maintenance or the safety department, or a diploma in any branch of engineering or technology recognised by the State Government with five years’ experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either the production or the maintenance or the safety department;
  • Candidate must possess a degree or diploma or certificate in industrial safety recognised by the State Government;
  • Candidate should have a thorough knowledge of Bengali acquired through an institution under a Board of Secondary Education or affiliated to a University or recognised by the State Government;
  • Candidate has qualified at a viva voce test conducted by a Board constituted by the Labour Department, Government of West Bengal, for the purpose;
  • Candidate can speak Hindi.
  1. Welfare Officer
  • Applicant has thorough knowledge of Bengali acquired through an institution which is under a Board of Secondary Education or affiliated to a University or recognized by the State Government;
  • Applicant can speak Hindi;
  • Applicant has obtained a degree or diploma in Labour and Social Welfare recognized by the Government of West Bengal or has passed Labour Welfare Officer’s Training Course of the Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal.
  • Applicant has qualified at a viva-voce test conducted by a Board constituted by the Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal for the purpose.

Experience

Post Experience
Assistant Manager (Accounts Background) a.External Candidates – One year’s post-qualification experience in Finance and Accounts department of a reputed Production / Manufacturing Unit.

b.Internal Candidates – At least one year’s of service in the Company as on 01/08/2017.

Assistant Manager (Civil) a.External Candidates – (Other than Staff candidates) Essential At least 2 years’ experience after graduation / post-graduation (in a position of independent responsibility equivalent to that of as Asst. Engineer) in public / private limited organisation including Hospitals/ Banks/ Financial Institutions/ Residential campus-based educational institutions in planning / designing/ construction/ maintenance of large office building/ housing projects/ industrial projects including services and preparation and evaluation of tender papers.

b.Internal Candidates – At least two years’ of service in the Company as on 01/08/2017.

Safety Officer 10 Years’ experience in a position of supervision or management in a factory in either production /maintenance /safety department.
Welfare Officer Applicant should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Labour Welfare activities in an organisation of repute.

Age Limit

Candidate age should not be more than 31 years. (i.e., Applicants born on or after 02-08-1986 are only eligible to apply) for Assistant Manager – Accounts Background, Assistant Manager – Civil Engineer Background Posts and between 21 years and 35 years as on 01-08-2017 (i.e. applicant born on or after 02-08-1982 and not later than 02-08-1996) for Safety Officer & Welfare Officer Post.

Selection Process

All the shortlisted candidates will be selected on the basis of Interview.

2. Safety Officer & Welfare Officer Post: All the Eligible candidates applying for Safety Officer and Welfare Officer Eligible candidates may submit their applications strictly in the prescribed format in A4 size Paper together with self-attested photocopies of certificates in respect of age, qualification, marks cards, experience, testimonials etc. Applicants applying for Salboni press should include the proof of having qualified at a viva-voice test conducted by a Board constituted by the Labour Department of the Government of West Bengal for the purpose.
